Update

Ok, so I haven't been keeping up with this like I intended.  I would like to say it is because I am insanely busy, but unfortunately (or fortunately, depending on my frame of mind) I am not.  Not being in the classroom has completely turned my world upside down.  I have no consistent schedule or structure to my life right now.  Any measly attempt at creating structure sadly meets its demise within a week's time.

Day 15: Mellow Yellow

Once again I have created an unbalanced meal in one color scheme.  Panko crusted tilapia, Velveeta Shells & Cheese, & corn.  This is the result of not analyzing the contents of my fridge and cabinet before going to going grocery shopping.  It's all I had!  #nocomplainingfromstevie

I have since been chanlleged to create an all blue meal.  Challege Accepted! #kari

Day 14: Kiawah

I spent the last three days on Kiawah Island for the SCCTE Annual Conference!  What else would teachers do when given crayons at dinner?!

Day 13: Holiday Tree

I bought this silver tinsel tree a few years ago at Pier One.  I have always liked the bigger versions, but I have never been gutsy enough to buy one for the house.  So I settled for the miniature version.  Stephen, of course, hated it!  I am thinking he has holiday issues, or maybe just Christmas decorating issues, because he HATES everything I put up for the holidays.  Two years ago, I took the tree to school for Christmas and the kids loved it.  Apparently only children appreciated the tree's gaudy flair (another reason why I am so puzzled by Stephen's insistence that this tree never be displayed  in the house).  I continued to change the themed decor to match the season.  Since I am no longer in the classroom, the tree has once again found itself back in our home.  I placed the tree in the spare bedroom (also called "my room," as Stephen is not fond of the decor in there either).  I have since relocated it the guest bathroom, much to Stephen's chagrin.  It is currently themed for Valentine's Day.  Don't you love the pink glow?!?!

Day 12: Early Morning Drive

Every Friday morning, I meet with my mentor teacher for breakfast at 6:00 AM.  This picture does not do the moon justice.   #keeprealcamerahandyatalltimes

Day 11: One Day Old

I went to the pet store to get dog food for what felt like the 5th time this month!  I was looking around and saw these one-day-old mice!  They were too cute.  The babies kept getting mixed up and the two mommas had to keep sorting them out.  Needless to say I did not go home with baby mice.

Day 9 Baby Its Cold Outside

My niece made me a bird house for Christmas.  Stephen nailed it to the big oak in our backyard.  How cute with the snow on top!

Day 8: Green Is Better

I came home late from work tonight, so I did not twant to eat anything too heavy before bed.  This is what I came up with:

Oddly enough, it was all green (minus the glob of peanut butter in the center).

Day 7 11 Pieces Later

Today was my post-wedding bridal shower thrown by one of my sisters and my "future" mother-in-law.  We played a game in which I had to answer questions about Stephen.  For every answer I got wring I had to eat a piece of gum...apparently I don't know him too well.  Oh well...I have a lifetime to figure out all the answers.

Day 6: My RCPL

As I have more time on my hands lately, I have found myself visiting the library regularly.  I have put a sizeable dent in my reading list (and watching list).  The Richalnd County public library's main branch downtown has to be my favorite architecual jewl in Columbia, SC designed by Eugene Aubry.

Day 5 Jersey Shore How I Love Thee

My guilty pleasure is everything Jersey!  Jersey Shore, The Sopranos, Jerseyliscious, Jersey Couture, The Real Housewives of New Jersey, and animal print!  I am adding 2 accent chairs to my dinning room table! See below:

Day 4 Calvery Chapel

Stephen and I have been going to to Calvary since September.  It is fabulous!  Went to the service tonight.  I am going to start trying to go to at least 2 Wednesday night services a month.

Day 2 Till Valentine's Day

#notsuremyhusbandwilllikethis

While the rest of the world has already taken down their trees, I have decided to keep my trees up another month or two.  I added another ornament just today!

Apparently it is a Christian tradition in some parts of the world to keep up their Christmas tree until after Epiphany or Three Kings Day (January 6th-ish depending on your source).

Soooo, just to make sure the Wise Men find Baby Jesus, I will keep my trees up at least till Valentine's Day!

Day 1 New Year's Eve

Here we are at the Georgia Dome for the Chick fil' A Bowl.  Unfortunately the Gamecocks did not win.  Even more unfortunate, this was the worst New Year's Eve celebration EVER!!!  Don't get me wrong...the entire weekend was not a bust... Let's just say, I will not be venturing to the ATL anytime soon without a seasoned veteran in tow (i.e. Hannah)!

A dollar to anyone that can tell me what this is!!!

Johhny Rockets!  The only thing appealing about Atlanta Underground!

Project 365

Hello and welcome to my blog!

I was recently inspired by a friend (#brenna) to start my own Project 365.  For those of you that do not know what that is, see the following...

http://365project.org/

I decided to combine the 365 Project with a blog...what you are reading now.  I will post at least one picture and write a little something about my adventures, musing, life lessons, etc. daily.

Mission:  To chronicle my life for the next 365 days through pictures and words.

Here I go...
